Courtley (Health and Safety) Ltd believe that delegates shouldn’t just pass their courses, they should enjoy the experience at the same time.
Our staff have the skills and expertise to make the training is engaging and enjoyable as well as comprehensively covering every single facet of the subject that you or your company need a detailed knowledge of.
There’s no one better equipped to instruct clients through the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Managing Safely course than Courtley.
We have 10 staff spread across two purpose-built training centres: One in Knowsley, Merseyside, the other in New Addington, near Croydon, Surrey.
The IOSH Managing Safely course is designed for managers and supervisors who work in virtually any sector in lots of different and diverse organisations, so we know that we have to make the training appeal to people from different disciplines and industries.
There are lots of learning aids to make the course fun. We use animations, DVDs, quizzes and even board games to get the message across in a way that people find absorbing rather than just sitting at a desk making notes.
At Courtley the staff practice what they preach, so time is set aside each week for in-house training where different incident response scenarios are run through.
The firm was established in 1995 by Steve Wallace.
He said: “We want to deliver training of the highest quality in a way that people enjoy, everyone learns more easily if they find the the training interesting as well as instructive.
“Our staff are on continual professional development courses to make sure the knowledge we’re passing on to our delegates is up to the minute and our clients tell us we deliver the IOSH course very successfully.”
The courses are delivered over four days which usually means one day a week over four weeks so that they can be tailored to fit around the busy schedules of our clients. They go on from 9am until 4.30pm and parking and refreshments are provided on site.
We cover everything you need to know to come away from the course with your IOSH Managing Safely certificate.
Subjects covered include the rules surrounding prevention of accidents, laws and statutes, managing systems, hazards in the workplace, the common causes of accidents and how to investigate them thoroughly and how to carry out proper reviews and audits.
By the end of the course our delegates will have the vital legal and practical knowledge to all handle health and safety management in the workplace.
